Just found amid all the political news that my favorite author passed away yesterday. I will miss his complex sci-fi stories and I remember when I got my hands on 'Jurassic Park' I read it three times. When I moved to the United States I was reading 'The Lost World'. All the books that he wrote that I didn't already have were on my Christmas list for this year and I'm right in the middle of 'Next' as I write.

So, I worked this cruelty case and it made the news. The dog owner is facing cruelty charges for abandoning his female pit bull along with 9 of her puppies. Only 3 survived, 3 died, and 3 were missing, as I wrote before. I am loving my animal control job. I get to play with animals all day long and teach people how to better care for their pets. Some people just don't know what is out there and available to them, ie, spaying and neutering deals at the SPCA and Humane Society and the fact that our county will SEND someone to their house and give their pets rabies shots for $5 each, which can't be beat. No more excuses to at least not get a pet spayed/neutered and rabies current. I also see some sad stuff too and I've got some pretty horrific photos on my computer that I wouldn't dare put up here. I don't even show them to friends. October 2 was probably the w
